Belize was by far one of the best vacation destinations me and my wife Cindy has been to in years. We love nature and areas that are off the beaten path and especially enjoyed the Caves Branch area and Macal river during our jungle adventure. I wish we had spent more time in the jungle but our stay in Placencia was just as rewarding, the food was to die for and the friendliness of the folks down there made us feel very safe. Snorkeling out at the Silk Cayes off the coast was more than we had imagined what a beautiful area. We can’t thank you guys at Tropic Horizon and Seahorse Dive Shop enough for putting together such an exciting combo package for us. We will be back you can count on it.
My boyfriend had been talking about doing a trip to Belize for many years, so I wanted to make sure this trip was perfect; and it was, thanks to Alvin. My experience with Tropic Horizon was impressive. Alvin was informative and the trip ran smoothly. The staff and accommodations at Gaia River Lodge made for a wonderful introduction to Belize. The food was fantastic. We enjoyed the Caves Branch suggestion. We did the ATM, Cave Tubing and Nocturnal Excursions. The tour leaders were friendly and knowledgeable and we’ve been talking about our experiences to friends and family since we got back! Our transfers between locations and cities went without a hitch. Ambergris Caye….ahhhhh Ramon’s Village. It was the perfect location, and our beachfront cabana made relaxing easy. We really had a good time strolling the beach and visiting the many great restaurants and bars along the way. Hol Chan, Shark Ray Alley, Mexico Rocks and Tres Cocos snorkeling trips allowed us to see the best of all ocean and reef life. I can’t thank you enough for making this a memorable vacation. We can’t wait to visit again and we know we can count on you to make it top notch.
Wow! Our first trip to Belize and it won’t be our last. Alvin you Rock! The accommodations and staff at Laru Beya were fabulous. Placencia is truly an unspoiled paradise! Diving for whale sharks with Sea Horse Divers was a wonderful experience, even though we were a bit early to the whale sharks. The crew was both professional and personable. It was reassuring to see them following dive charts and comforting how they greeted us with open arms. The buffet style lunch was delicious during our surface time, both days. Maybe we’ll see the whale sharks next time!
Although arrangements had been made for our stay in Ambergris Caye prior to contact with Tropic Horizon, coordinating our hops from Island to Island went flawless. As members of our group from California, New Jersey and Louisiana changed our plans you were on top of things. Including the flights my sister missed, thanks for checking up on her and seeing she joined us safely! I am still amazed how you managed to arrange for a superb driver and cave tubing tour guide (in between hopper flights from the south to the north) on Easter Sunday just days before our trip! Like I said “I figured if anyone could make it happen it would be you!” Thank You Alvin, I truly hope this is the beginning to a new friendship.
