Chef Shannon, known as “Mr. Happy Fingers,” creates ever-changing island fusion cuisine inspired by Belize’s fresh local ingredients. His creative dishes feature locally sourced produce, seafood, poultry, homemade spices, inventive desserts, and expertly crafted cocktails. While Huracan’s dive sites are among the best in the Caribbean, the lodge suspects many guests return for the food as well — a claim supported by the polished plates left after every meal. Guests also enjoy fresh fruit, baked goods, local coffee, teas, purified water, and snacks available throughout their stay. A full bar and service (Beer, Wines & Spirits) are also available at very reasonable pricing.
Accommodations
The lodge offers five cozy guest rooms nestled in a lush littoral forest just a one-minute walk from the beach. Designed with sustainably sourced Belizean hardwoods, comfortable king or twin beds, original artwork, and ensuite bathrooms, the rooms provide a relaxing retreat after a day of diving. The French owner, a former master winemaker and famed artist, has created a truly unique ambiance. You will enjoy a unique European nautical ambiance, spacious accommodations, and an intimate setting for only 8–10 guests.
