You don't have to be a fisherman or a diver to enjoy Turneffe Island Lodge. Snorkel, Kayak, Sail or just kick back in a hammock or the beautiful swimming pool and relax.
You can explore the island's surroundings in a kayak. The silent mobility of the kayak will allow you to intimately experience the crystal clear water, spectacular coral reefs, and abundant marine life of Turneffe Atoll. Just off the shore, the ocean floor plunges over a thousand feet. This meeting of the sheltered lagoon and the open ocean results in a diverse marine eco-system with water temperatures ranging from 78 to 80 degrees F. Your kayak journey can take you to places that few other people have had a chance to experience. Single and double kayaks are available for complementary use during your stay. |

Snorkeling:
One of the many blessings Turneffe Island Lodge enjoys are the abundant coral formation in the shallow waters surrounding the island. There are numerous snorkeling site within minutes of the lodge. Within the pristine waters, you will see star fish, vibrant tropical fish, colorful corals and barrel sponges. You may even get a glimpse of a stingray or turtle heading back to the ocean after feeding in the surrounding sea grass. (Snorkel trips are schedule each day. The schedules are flexible and are arranged to suit your needs.)

Lighthouse Reef:
Each week, the staff travels to Lighthouse Reef Atoll on the 48' custom dive boat to experience Belize's best known geographical wonder, the Blue Hole. You can come along with the divers and enjoy and snorkel this amazing marvel of nature. Your day will continues with a visit to Half Moon Caye where you will enjoy a picnic lunch at Red Footed Booby Bird Sanctuary. You can also snorkel the shallow lagoon along the island. There is no additional cost for this excursion.
Discover Diving: If you never tried diving before you can take a resort course or discover diving and get a taste of the underwater world. You will not be certified after this course but will get to do open water dives in the most pristine waters, quite an opportunity for someone exploring scuba for the first time. Discover Diving is $50 and a Resort Course is $100.
