Belize is located on the east coast of Central America in the heart of the Caribbean Basin. Featuring 185 miles of adjacent reef, dozens of cayes and three magnificent atolls, Belize is unique, a paradise for those who cherish such a rich and unspoiled environment. Whether you are seeking a romantic honeymoon getaway at a luxurious beach resort, a family that takes in wildlife and archeology, or a high adventure expedition into the remote locales, Belize has something for everyone.

INLAND TOURS AND ATTRACTIONS:Belize is alive with an unspoiled rainforest and exotic animals in all shapes and sizes… An extraordinary amount of mammals are found in Belize, a reflection of the country's geography, low population, extensive forests and savannahs, and the stringent laws that afford protection to vulnerable species.
As is the case through much of the world, many of the nearly 150 species of mammals that are found in Belize are nocturnal. However, Belize offers a better than average chance of seeing an ocelot, peccary, coatimundi or even an elusive jaguar - all are found here in good numbers. The howler monkey, known locally as the baboon, is another mammal of Belize. Howlers live in small bands in lowland forest, especially along rivers.
CARIBBEAN SEA ADVENTURES: The underwater world of Belize is vibrant and diverse. Home to some of the most unique geological formations, it is a profusion of colors and exotic marine life. When it comes to world-class dive destinations, Belize is at the top of everybody’s list - and with good reason. Belize possesses the largest and most prolific barrier reef in the western hemisphere. It is also home to nearly 400 species of fish, more than 70 types of hard corals and three of the four atolls found in the Western Hemisphere…
World renowned dive sites include the Great Blue Hole at Lighthouse Reef and the Gladden Spit, a portion of Belize Southern Barrier reef that provides a heaven for the whale sharks that migrates there on an annual basis.
STATS: Belize population is approximately 250,000. English is the official language and is widely spoken, as is Spanish, Maya, Garifuna and Creole (broken English).
