Turneffe Atoll is the closest to the mainland of the three atolls in Belize. Located 15 miles east of Belize City the Turneffe Islands surround the largest atoll. Unlike the outer atolls, Turneffe is unique. It is not a ringlet of sandy islets like Lighthouse and Glover's Reef but is, instead nearly covered with thick green mangrove and a shallow lagoon. The huge juvenile nursery in the lagoon mangroves, shallows and mangrove lined coastal mainland provides a continuous flow of marine species in sizable numbers. Turneffe features world class dives such as the Elbow, off the extreme southern tip of the atoll.
The Elbow is a series of deep pinnacles adjacent to the drop-off. Usually bathed in current, the area is a mixingbowl of mature marine life, including many large  groupers and schools of jacks, snappers and Spadefish. The area is considered an advanced dive. The many dive sites at Turneffe now number more than 70 named sites. Turneffe is also conveniently located to Lighthouse Reef Atoll, making it easy to get to sites such as the Blue Hole.
Turneffe Atoll is accessible from Ambergris Caye on a full day or overnight side trips, however, for those who are more interested in experiencing all that this spectacular atoll has to offer an "All Inclusive Package" at one of the three resorts located on the islands there is recommended. |

Blackbird Caye Resort features private individual cabanas facing the Caribbean Sea. The cabanas have air-conditioning, private porches with chairs, hammock, an interior seating area, double or queen beds, a private bathroom with shower, hot water and offers daily maid service. The triplex features air-conditioning, a huge front porch facing the Caribbean Sea. Each private rooms has a private bathroom, double beds and daily maid service. The Duplex also features air conditioning, a large front porch with both rooms having its own private baths and double beds. |

Seventeen of the best dives are planed around Turneffe Atoll and Lighthouse Atolls. While at Turneffe you will dive sites such as Blackbird Wall, Little Calabash Wall, Runway and The Elbow. At Lighthouse Atoll, you will dive the Blue Hole, Half-moon Caye Wall, all of which are world-class dive sites. Snorkelers also have daily guided trips and are encouraged to ask questions about marine flora and fauna. Snorkelers will see the best of Belize as well. Snorkeling sites include the Blackbird Reef, located directly in front of the main dock. Blackbird Cut, Calabash Cut, The Blue Hole, and Half-moon Caye. All are excellent snorkel sites at which you will see stingrays, groupers, eagle rays, nurse sharks and much, much more. Scuba diving courses are available from the island.

All Packages Includes:
Airport reception, boat transfers, lodging, meals, and use of hammocks and kayaks. (Air transfers on Saturdays)
- Dive package includes three dives per day, air, tanks, weights & belts. Other equipment available for rental.
- Snorkel package includes two guided snorkel trips per day
- Fishing package Includes boat with guide for morning & afternoon trips. Two fishermen per boat. Must bring own equipment. Deep Sea Fishing is available at additional fee. Ask for details.
- Fish/Dive or Fish/Snorkel Combo includes three days of diving or snorkeling plus three days of fishing.
Not Included:
Package prices do not include airfare, bar drinks (soft drinks and alcoholic beverages), gratuities, dive equipment rental, $40 marine reserve fee for the Blue Hole or hotel tax of $4.50/person/night. These charges cannot be pre-paid and are collected on the island the day before departure.
Please note: Transfers are on Saturday & Wednesday only. The transfer boat departs the Belize Tourism Village Marina between 3:00 and 4:00 PM. Note that flights must arrive at Belize International by 2:00PM. From the marina it is approximately 1 1/4 hour scenic boat ride to the island. Departure from the island is approximately 8:00 A.M. Flights may depart any time after 1PM.

If traveling any day other than specified transfer day, a special air charter must be reserved at an additional cost of $300USD one-way for two to four passengers.
Accommodations are:
Standard Cabanas: beach front, air-conditioned cabanas with private porch, two queen/double beds (a limited number of rooms have one king bed) and private bath.
Deluxe Cabana (units 11, 12 & 14): Each suite has a private bedroom with king bed, ceiling fan and air-conditioning unit. The spacious living room has chairs, love seat and table as well as mini-refrigerator plus air-conditioning and ceiling fan. Large bathroom has shower with additional storage area.
Triplex (3 private rooms) & Duplex (2 private rooms):Private rooms are air-conditioned with with two double beds per room, private bath and shared porch. Prices are $100.00 less per person for 7 night packages & $50.00 less per person for 3 & 4 night packages.
